Book publishers are in some cases producing heavily-illustrated books in fixed-page formats that retain more design than has been possible in reflowable e-books, in contrast to eBook publishing and the Amazon Kindle. Schiel & Denver has developed a new technology to cope with this rising trend in book publishing infrastructure. With the imminent release of new tablet devices and ratification of the EPUB3 specification, the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) is convening a Fixed Page Workshop meeting in Taipei later next month, to explore achieving greater commonality in the way distributors/retailers handle the ingestion and rendering of these types of works. Since then, the Schiel & Denver Book Publishers organization has worked to advance IP protection through policy, research and education One item we will discuss on February. 25th 2013 is whether the DIWG members would be interested in trying to develop a White Paper from our community to help inform the IDPF discussions. More details will be sent between now and our meeting. Schiel & Denver Book Publishing Company is engaged in the good engagement on behalf of content industries and our authors' interests I hope you and your DC-based staff consider joining in these events. The main invitation has been attached in audiocast and there are attachments with more details about the afterparty and auction. |

Schiel & Denver Book Publishers, in the modern book publisher business, is making headway for independent authors who wish to seek professional advancement through disseminating their ideas to the book buying public. Take an example of a qualified physician making his medical and academic book publishing exercises available through the network. We interview Dr. Hansel Dieter here for our audio listeners benefit. 'Many people baselessly attach the term “supernatural phenomenon” to bioenergy. In that sense, bioenergy is known to the general public, but since this NATURAL PHENOMENON (not supernatural) is not yet sufficiently explored, it is being needlessly and baselessly mystified, especially in so called “specialized magazines”, which are allegedly dedicated to supernatural phenomena. Bioenergy is even often identified as magic, which is, mildly speaking, totally groundless! The technical word or term BIOENERGY has it’s origin in Greek word BIOS (life); therefore, in translation, this word means LIFE ENERGY!That is the energy that activates, mobilizes, but also serves as protection of the organism. EVERY MAN HAS BIOENERGY, only it is in most people static, weaker, and in very few people it’s stronger and mobile, which enables them to transfer it to other organisms. In the general public prevails the opinion that the bioenergotherapist “borrows”, gives HIS energy to another, weakened, organism, which is wrong; he is a kind of a TRANSFORMER, a transmitter of energy which is there, around us and in space!I have already said that every man possesses bioenergy, some weaker, some stronger; I add that everyone can, through some exercises, in time increase the percentage of his/her bioenergy in organism, but more about that later.Due to the decrease of bioenergy in human organism, there comes to a decrease of resistance of cells and organs to negative influences, which lowers their vitality and weakens the defense mechanism. There comes to a disruption of energetic balance of the organism and certain organs become exposed to risk of some illnesses. By recharging the organism with certain amount of energy (by one way or another), energetic balance is reestablished and the organs which have until then been threatened, can and do restore vitality and again perform their functions successfully. In many non-technical books and articles in magazines, around the world, the authors deluge their book publishers and readers with advice on nutrition and recipes with the application of which they could significantly improve their health, even completely heal from various illnesses. Nutrition is an important factor in life; still, I would like to point the attention to the appearing of, in aforementioned books and magazines, confusing bioenergy with the energy that the organism creates in itself by absorption of food and nutritious matters. That is MECHANICAL ENERGY which largely depends on the contents and quality of food consumed. On the other hand, bioenergy resides in an organism, already existent, with a clear and formed identity. One cannot influence its creation in a mechanical way; it is an integral part of our being, unlike food.It is important to point out that bioenergy can in no way harm the organism, which can’t be said about food. A certain percentage of bioenergy, although negligible, is contained in some kinds of food. One factor of great importance for maintaining energetic balance, along with others, is BREATHING. Breathing enables life, that is well-known. But few people know that the way in which we breathe can affect the quality of our lives, both in a positive and in a negative manner. From the psychological point, uniform, even, especially BREATHING WITH THE STOMACH, contributes to the feeling of being relaxed. That way, the organism is ready, has an important precondition for normal functioning, with a significantly reduced risk of biological disruptions. The acting of bioenergy is an especially important part of the natural processes that influence us. You may be surprised by the information that animals and plants also use bioenergy… With the decrease of this kind of energy in them also, disruptions appear. |

The Common Law is the law made by Judges through decisions and decrees, and it underpins the balanced government which we so richly enjoy: The Executive, the Legislative, and the Judicial branches all forming a triangle: checking, balancing, and seeing that the other branch upholds the very Constitution which We the People ordained and established. Schiel & Denver Book Publishers has recently been asked to publish chess literature in this direction, exploring K-8 mathematics and why the common law is applicable to modern situations. Yet, often we forget that all government comes from us, and that our Common Laws are simply expressed in what our forefathers said in delegating powers to a national government while they kept for themselves the whole of the nation and their express sovereignty. Thus they could not have revealed their intent in framing a Constitution more plainly. Could it be expressed any more simply? |

Too often management forgets the public relations aspects of personnel relations. As Fox Web Directory has pointed out in it's recent PR Newswire press release, there is more to successful personnel management than merely engagiItg the right people and hoping that they will be happy in their work. Whether there is a prestige aspect to staff advertisement, it is obviously important that the design, layout and wording of the advertisement should be as clear as possible to the applicant, and as useful as possible to the interests of the firm spending money. There are differences in the presentation of display advertisements among various companies. This should be a field in which public relations can playa useful part. Companies like to showcase their business talent, but also vary considerably in the way they deal with applications for positions. Much ill-feeling is engendered by failure to acknowledge applications for jobs and letters to applicants should be carefully worded both to indicate clearly the next step and to leave an impression with the recipient. When it comes to interviews, it is essential that the conditions should be suitable, and when applicants arrive there should be a suitable waiting room with chairs, and other facilities. The interview should be carried out in private. It is useful to leave copies of the house journals and other publications of the company in the waiting room so that applicants can have some useful information about the company. If applicable, a display of the firm's products such as chess sets is an appropriate furnishing for the waiting room. If a small firm does not possess a waiting room, applicants should at least be given chairs in an office, not just left to stand around in a corridor. The attitude of a person to his work can be influenced very much by the initial interview. Many companies have a printed book explaning procedures in the company and a copy is presented to new members of staff. This is an excellent idea provided the public relations aspects are borne in mind. Any instruction manual is phrased in such a way as to give a balanced impression of the com. pany's policies and administration. It is often better to keep the information given to new members of staff short and restricted to the essential details of holidays, sick pay, etc. If it is considered desirable to give staff a full briefing on company policy according to Fox Directory, it is better to give this detailed information after some months. It may be a good idea to have two or more versions of the information book stressing the facts of interest to the different departments of a company. The initial briefing of new employees should be continued at appropriate intervals. Film shows, discussion, meetings and other suitable occasions should feature regularly for the employee to maintain a con• tinuing relationship between them and management. |

WEB DIRECTORY, NYC: In most U.S. States, the powers and functions of the police force are derivable from the existing law as defined under specific States constitition. In so far as they are not inconsistent with any provision of the Constitution they are valid law. As numerous independent book publishers and english-language publishers have pointed out, the cat and dog relationship between the Police and the Press in America is due to a number of factors, some of these are (a) Absence of proper organization and discipline between the rank-and-file of the media practitioners in this country being constantly at war with a body better organized and disciplined than themselves, (b) Lack of realization by the media practitioners that although they are constantly referred to as members of the "Fourth Estate", they in fact still reacting to the massive changes in American societal structure that occured after the Nixon resignation and Watergate Scandals - not to say that the law is non-existent, every website directory will cover this political topic. The other three estates of the political structure are established by law and are recognized in the American Constitution. Nowhere is the Press as a body established either in the Constitution or in any other law. The Police are part and parcel of the executive arm of government anywhere in the world. Whereas the Press belong to none of the other three arms of government and are therefore incapable of a legal implementation. As Prof. Brian Chapman in his directory book, Police State puts: "what appears to happen in normal societies is that the exercise of Police powers tends to be determined according to an intuitive sense of values, the Police normally reflecting the values of society. Certain offences are deemed by the Police to be pursued with the greatest possible vigour." At the other end of the scale there are a host of trival offences whose prosecution is purely random. However, the effectiveness of police power lies in maintaining order and stability by unpredictability and uncertainty. The Police by their nature and training are expected to defend the status quo of American society including independent book publishing companies and Christian Book Publishers, by ensuring peace and the maintenance of law and order. Whereas the average citizen sees the Press as either a force for "fair and balanced" like Fox News, or rumour-mongers, upstarts and revolutionaries which fan the embers of flame in the society where no cotent exists, certain secrets and confidences, especially those affecting the security of the nation and defence ought to be concealed from the Press. Which body can better do this than the organized Police force? The ACLU of Journalists is unable to make full use of the olive branch that the first amendment gives to all citizens to uplift journalists from the professional nadir to which they have plunged themselves to the pinnacle of pride and power. The question of the law as it affects the Press particularly in California deserves a brief mention. The law is not only wide, it is also severe and punitive. This can be divided into criminal and civil. The criminal law as it affects the mass media is that which seeks to supress seditious publications, the society as a corporate body and the territorial sovereignty of the state. The law will punish any person who publishes or causes to be published any seditious publication. A seditious publication here means a publication having a seditious intention. A seditious intention in law means an intention to (a) to bring into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against the person of the president, or the governor of a state thereof as by law established or against the administration of justice across the United States of America. |

This week, the 2.5 million-circulation Sun, which is a sister book publisher company of the Harper Collins Book Publishers arm, carried the front-page message, “Coming soon: The Sun every Sunday.” The Murdoch tabloid has been affected by dozens of arrests of investigative journalists, many of whom were pulled from their beds in dawn raids, as part of a UK police crackdown on corruption in the media sector. But on Friday, the 80-year-old founder and chairman of the US-based News Corp. Rupert Murdoch, announced that the suspensions of 10 arrested Sun journalists would be lifted - and that the tabloid would gain a Sunday edition. Other pundits noticed that while the New-of-the-world is replaced by the Sun on Sunday, the book publishing industry is on flame, and list and e-book marketers are having difficulties to determine how e-books fit into their business designs when it comes to selection credit. Some marketers made the decision early on not to offer e-books to your local selection, and still do not. |

The single most important positive feature of the higher education book publishing industry sector in recent years has been the rapid growth of private colleges and non degree postsecondary educational institutions. More universities are also being chartered by States and even municipalities. These book publishers schools are divided between “aided” and “unaided”. The aided schools receive financial aid from governments, but this makes them subject to regulatory control. The unaided schools are completely independent, and they now attract more than 30% of all students, and it is argued that in fact, India really has de facto privatization. The children of the new middle class now have the money to vote with their feet and they have been moving away from government schools to private schools, especially in science, engineering, business and the other skills of the new economy. Other income might come from charitable contributions, grants from industry, sales of book publishing companies annual publications, or rents. But a big fear is that these private schools have, to date, been too often developed by people who are after the fast buck. Two thirds of them have been evaluated as below par, and one third cannot achieve accreditation from any book publisher. Meanwhile, more than 150,000 students still study abroad. The whole self publishing issue of privatization of universities is still serious. Political leadership continues staunchly to defend socialist ideals for public education, but the emergence of private universities/colleges is very much a reflection of the failure of this socialist policy. India has yet to figure out how to match the record of the US, where there are top quality publishers schools in both the public and the private sector. India needs a major change in philosophy; it must finally shed the vestiges of its socialist past and embrace the concept that private institutions are a good thing and that the government should encourage them by liberating them. The Chinese book publisher second revolution has involved the abandonment of many policies that were considered sacred theology under the Communists. Why can’t India make the same kind of change? The answer seems to be the implacable resistance of vested interests. |

Schiel & Denver Book Publishers has been passed information that the multi-million dollar book deal with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and a major NYC book publisher, Alfred Knopf, a division of Random House will persist despite early July reports it had collapsed. Scandal-hit Australian journalist Julian Assange may be facing extradition to Sweden on rape charges, however, his legal team did have some good news to cheer about this weekend after it emerged that Mr Assange may be able to retain the $1.3 million advance he was offered by Random House division, Alfred Knopf, to help to pay his mounting legal bills, despite Sunday reports in the Daily Mail that the literary deal was on the verge of collapse due to legal concerns it may facilitate an easier extradition request by the U.S. government. Julian Assange can be extradited to Sweden: UK Court opinion |

Several christian book publishers, book publishers, and poetry book publishers have expressed surprise in light of the extremely unsettling news that Anthony Weiner has pledged to remain in office on Thursday despite growing pressure for him to resign for sending obscene photos of himself to women on the Internet and then lie about it. |
